…Representatives and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers, which shall be determined by adding to the whole Number of free Persons, including those bound to Service for a Term of Years, and excluding Indians not taxed, three fifths of all other Persons. The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct.

It’s that time again for Census takers to begin gathering information from citizens of the U.S. It is very clear from the U. S. Constitution that the census is to “enumerate” every person for the purpose of representation in the Congress and for the purpose of direct taxes. The U.S. Government no longer directly taxes the states based on population, so the only purpose left for the census is to apportion representatives. There is clearly no Constitutional authority to find out the race, sex, age, income, or residential status of any citizen. In addition, the government has no authority to find out how many bathrooms a citizen has or how many cars, guns, pots, pans, refrigerators or anything else. Below is a clear example of why NONE of this extra information should be given to the government. The U.S. Government has a long history of utilizing information for nefarious purposes. In many cases, this information is gleaned under benign or even positively spun pretenses. Then, tyranny takes over.
In the 1940 census, citizens were asked many personal questions including their race. Japan bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. On February 19, 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued Executive Order 9066, an Unconstitutional Order that relocated and incarcerated about 112,000 citizens of Japanese ancestry in concentration camps in the interior of the United States. 80,000 of these citizens were second and third-generation Americans. The Supreme Court upheld the Executive Order in 1944. In 2007, after over 60 years of denials, the U.S. Government finally admitted that they used the Census data collected in 1940 to round up Americans without due process.
When the Census form comes in the mail, you are obligated to answer question #1 only. The question asks how many people reside at the address on the form. This is the only question that is Constitutional. Keep in mind that Congress has passed “laws” and “regulations” requesting other information; however, they do not pass constitutional muster. This information is used for social and financial engineering of our society. For example, Progressives can say that 22.3% of the population of City X is African American, therefore the police force should be 22.3% African American to be representative.
The abuse of Census data is pertinent right now, during the current Covid-19 pandemic. The U.S. House of Representatives is considering HB5717, yet another draconian attempt at a gun ban. There is NOTHING GOOD in this bill and nothing in it would stop gun violence. One of the most nefarious parts requires that all good subjects must obtain a firearms license to acquire and/or possess a firearm. The idea that a free citizen of the United States would have to obtain a license to practice a Constitutional right should be abhorrent to all Patriots. This bill must be stopped!
The example of the abuse of Census data should help all Patriots understand the tyrannical tendencies of the government. This is why Patriots should only answer question 1 on the Census. And, Patriots must vehemently oppose any attempt to register the exercise of Americans’ Constitutional Rights. ANY ATTEMPT at gun licensing or registration MUST BE STRONGLY OPPOSED. The Progressive tyrants in our government like to talk about “common sense” and remind us that the Supreme Court has said that the Second Amendment can be limited. However, a national gun registry will turn out the same as the Census did for those Americans of Japanese descent during World War II. Just like the abuse of Census data to steal their freedoms, a gun registry will be used to steal the Second Amendment rights of American citizens when the time comes. And it WILL come!
